Sam Vicary continues to explore the landscape genre in her new paintings; a product of an extraordinary year created in two parts (indoors and outdoors).

Through the practice of walking, Sam found a way of coping with lockdown restrictions. She deliberately imagined the land that once was, escaping through lanes that linked ordinary lives. She watched nature thrive while human life grew more fragile.
